Now is the time to regain control! Heberson Oliveira, yoga teacher and creator of the "Vibhava Yoga" method, offers three exercises to cleanse the whole body at the beginning of the year.
At the beginning of the year, we always make good resolutions. The first thing to do is get your body back after the little Christmas and New Year excesses.
So, lets go. Here are three exercises to detoxify. And, for the brave, they can be practiced daily. In any case, thats what yogis do! We can always try to become one.
1 Uddhyana bandha exercise
The benefits of exercise:
Massage the internal organs (intestines, stomach, kidneys, bladder).
Activate peristalsis.
Improves digestion.
Promote transit.
Helps to have a flat stomach.
How to practice it?
Standing, we slightly bend our knees, buttocks back.
Put your hands on your thighs, making sure your back is flat.
Empty your lungs by pulling your abdomen inward.
We keep our lungs empty and stick the abdomen "on the spine", then we breathe while releasing the belly.
Do 3 times in a row.
2. Talasana and Trikonasana exercise
The benefits of exercise:
Stretches and allows lateral flexion of the trunk.
Improves spinal balance.
Take the strain off your back.
Activates the functioning of the digestive tract.
Accelerates the release of toxins.
How to practice it?
Standing, spread your legs slightly more than the width of your pelvis.
We raise our arms.
We stretch the body up, then lean the upper body to the left and exhale. We stayed a few seconds in position.
We go up and lean the upper body to the right.
Repeat 8 times in a row.
3. Matyendrasana exercise
The benefits of exercise:
Improves digestion.
Relieves swelling.
Associated with exercise 1, it allows a deep detoxification of the abdomen.
How to practice it?
Sitting on the floor, legs forward.
Bend the left leg and pass the foot to the right of the extended leg.
We hug the left leg bent with the right arm.
Rotate your bust to the left, remembering to bend your abdomen to accentuate the detox.
We do the same on the other side.
Repeat 8 times in a row.
