Covid-19: Brazilian president tested positive for coronavirus

Bolsonaro said he would now work as much as possible "by video conference." On Monday night, he announced that a chest x-ray had been taken at the military hospital.

Since the start of the pandemic, the Brazilian president, 65, has played down the disease and participated in various public events without wearing a mask, while criticizing the isolation measures implemented in several states. On Monday, he vetoed two sections of the law on the use of masks in public places.

Brazil is the country most affected by the pandemic, behind the United States, with 1.6 million Covid-19 cases to date for 65,487 deaths.
